The Port Authority of Malaga promotes innovation in port security with new communication technologies

Malaga, September 2024 — The Port Authority of Malaga has awarded a contract to Ceotronics with Tassta Americas technology for the modernization of its communications system, marking a milestone in technological innovation applied to port security. This initiative is aimed at improving the collaboration and operational coordination of the Port Police force, through the implementation of cutting-edge technological solutions.

The contract covers the implementation, configuration, deployment and maintenance of a mission-critical communications platform, as well as the acquisition of state-of-the-art mobile terminals provided by Ruggear. This new system will provide a collaborative environment that integrates essential communication capabilities, such as “Push To Talk” voice and multimedia messaging, in addition to advanced features such as flexible dispatching, video delivery, emergency calls, real-time monitoring and worker protection.

These capabilities will make it possible to optimize police operations without the risks associated with communications applications for mass public use, ensuring a safe and efficient operation of the port of Malaga.

This project reflects the decision to provide the Port Police with the most advanced tools to optimize its performance in a critical environment such as the port.

The new system will not only improve emergency response capacity, but it will also ensure a more efficient and safe management of port operations, consolidating Malaga's position as a reference port for innovation and security at the national level.
